Camp Evolve International is an English immersion camp for children and teenagers aged 9–17, running across international locations throughout the year. We believe the best way to learn a language is to live it. Our camps replace textbooks with real experiences — creativity, collaboration, outdoor adventures, and genuine international friendships — in a fully supervised, all-inclusive environment.
We run seasonal camps — from summer to winter to spring — bringing together young people from across Europe and beyond in inspiring locations. Our current session is based on the coast of Kavala, Greece, with more camps coming soon.

What We Stand For
English learned through doing — not grammar drills. Campers leave speaking with genuine confidence.
A 1:8 mentor-to-camper ratio, 24/7 supervision, and on-call medical support at every location.
Young people from across Europe connecting in inspiring locations — friendships that outlast the camp.
Every session is designed to build independence, resilience, and the kind of confidence that carries well beyond camp.
I'm Shumana Akta — founder and lead educator behind Camp Evolve International. I design immersive summer camp programmes where young people aged 9–17 grow in confidence, independence, and English communication, across our locations in Bulgaria and Greece.
My teaching journey began in Barcelona in 2013 and has since taken me across Europe and Asia — working with private schools, language academies, and international youth camps. Today I'm based in Sofia, leading seasonal programmes for Camp Evolve International on the Black Sea and Aegean coasts.
Alongside camp leadership, I've collaborated with institutions including the American College of Sofia and the NGO Dechitsa, and recently lectured at Sofia University on international education and language acquisition.
With a background in Law (LLB) and a CELTA qualification, I bring structure, creativity, and purpose to every programme — designing experiences that prepare young people to use English confidently in the real world.
